Maruti Suzuki India Pvt. Ltd, India’s largest personal vehicle maker of India, has scaled a milestone through cumulative production of 10 lakh units of new generation K-series engines used to power bestseller cars like WagonR, Swift and Alto-K10.
The fuel efficient K-series engine gained popularity in a very short period through its proven track record of zero defect outflows and zero process warranty claim. The engine was rolled out in October 2008 and used in its flagship model A-Star.
SIL Chief General Manager (Marketing) Shashank Srivastava hailed the achievement of the firm and informed that the company has fitted the K-series engine in over 3.5 lakh units of A-Star, 1.9 lakh units of WagonR, 1.36 lakh units of Alto K-10 and 95,000 units of Ritz.
He went on to add, “We feel proud that customers have really appreciated our offerings mounted with the next generation K-series engine. As market leader, we have continuously improved the technologies over the years.”
Meanwhile, firm’s top-selling premium car- Maruti Suzuki Swift underwent complete transformation with added fuel efficiency in 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel variants.
