The Central Library at the Gomal University has one of the largest collections of books. Borrowing facilities are available only to regular students of the University in accordance with the regulations of the library. The foundation courses students and visitors my consult the library for reference. The library is open for 12 hours on the working days except Friday when it closes at 12:00 Noon and is closed during holidays except for the part of the summer vacations. There are photo-copying facilities in the library for the use of the student.
Recently the Central Library has been computerized under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Zubair Asghar, Lecturer ICIT, by an M.Sc student Mr. Sheikh Muhammad Saqib. This new system of computerization of central library meets all the new aspects of this new growing technology.
