ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad stock market closed lower on Tuesday as the ISE 10-share index dropped by 1.05 points to close at 2,623.69 points from its previous level of 2,624.74 points. Of the total 135 participant companies, 67 climbed upward and 68 turned negative. However, total turnover increased to 0.130 million shares from 0.015 million shares at the opening of the day, showing a difference of 0.115 million shares. Tri-Pack Films was the top gainer as its share value increased Rs 7.83 to close at Rs 164.58 after opening at Rs 156.75. Pakistan Tobacco was the second major gainer as its share value gained Rs 4.72 to close at Rs 102 as against its opening at Rs 97.28. Unilever Pakistan was the major loser of the day as its share price declined by Rs 52.06 to close at Rs 5,005.13 as compared to its previous level of Rs 5,057.19. Siemens Engineering was the second highest on the negative column as its share price fell Rs 45.68 to close at Rs 1,065.05 as compared with its opening at Rs 1,110.73. In terms of volume Lotte Pakistan PTA was on top with 0.096 million shares. Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim and MCB Bank remained second and third with 0.010 million shares and 0.009 million shares, respectively. staff report
